Goods in Transit Insurance

Our Goods in Transit (GIT) Insurance covers your goods from the moment they are collected by Clark's Courier Services Ltd until they are safely delivered to their final destination. This insurance protects against loss, damage, or theft while goods are in our care, custody, and control.

What is covered:

  • Accidental damage during loading, transit, and unloading
  • Loss or theft of goods while in transit
  • Damage resulting from traffic accidents or vehicle-related incidents
  • Weather-related damage occurring during transportation

Important limitations:

  • Goods must be properly packaged and suitable for road transport
  • High-value items may require additional insurance (please declare at booking)
  • Fragile items must be declared and correctly packaged
  • Perishable goods are covered for damage but not for spoilage caused by delays beyond our control

Public Liability Insurance

Our Public Liability Insurance provides protection against third-party claims for injury or property damage that may arise during the course of our courier and logistics operations.

Coverage includes:

  • Third-party bodily injury claims
  • Third-party property damage
  • Legal costs and expenses relating to covered claims
  • Accidental damage to customer premises during collection or delivery

Additional Coverage Options

For consignments requiring enhanced protection, additional insurance cover can be arranged upon request. Please contact us prior to booking if your shipment:

  • Exceeds standard insurance value limits
  • Contains fragile, antique, or irreplaceable items
  • Requires temperature-controlled handling
  • Includes hazardous, controlled, or regulated materials

Making a Claim

In the unlikely event that a claim is required, please follow the steps below to ensure prompt handling:

    Take clear photographs of any damaged goods and packaging

    Notify us within 24 hours:

    Retain all original packaging until the claim has been fully resolved

    Provide proof of value (invoice, receipt, or valuation documentation)
